The intervention proposal of the Hotel Lince Azores consists of reformulating some areas of the hotel's social character, changing the dynamics of use of the atriums and their relationship with the living areas, with the aim of clearly separating the environment from those arriving at the hotel, of those who are already staying at the hotel or of those who will use the hotel in its external services facilities.


The current spaces no longer correspond to the expectation of proper use that is intended for the Lince Azores. Simultaneously, with the future expansion of the number of rooms, the capacity of the existing spaces needs to be increased and reorganized, to adapt to a new connection to the future rooms wing.


The necessary changes presuppose the reorganization of some accesses, in a new hierarchy of spaces and adaptation to different uses, promoting a strong common image that unifies all social areas.


The intervention proposal is based on 4 synthesis ideas that support the entire project: minimal intervention | maximum impact; hierarchy of intimacy | democracy of use; simplicity in organization | diversity in usage and identity | actuality.

In March 2008 the brand “The Lince Hotels & Resorts” is created, the main mission was acquisition, management and hotel operation. The bet on the training of its employees, is for the brand, the crucial factor to maintain the quality of its services, as well a form of valorization and recognition by the employees, for being part of the family The Lince Hotels & Resorts.
