1st act

The first was a small corner building located in the Sé de Braga area. The location was exceptional. There was one catch… being located in the historic center of the city made the whole bureaucratic process more elaborate. What could be done to try to find a way to monetize and enjoy the space, during the project’s approval long waiting period? The idea was to think of something that was transitory. We started from the only existing license, the restaurant license, and chosed a bar whose name could only be “Provisório”! It would have to be a minimal investment and counting on a group of partners who would be enthusiastic about this proposal.

And from there more ideas and desires emerged. Why not paint everything, but literally everything, in one color? More than a bar, it would be an installation. Sulfate blue! Provocative enough… On the ground floor, the floor, the ceiling, the walls, the equipment, the sanitary ware, the taps, the switches, and everything that appeared before our eyes turned to sulphate blue.

2nd act

The 1st floor kept the same approach, minimal expenses and a single color, this time gray (the tone resulting from a cloud of smoke). This floor became a more private space. It was aimed at restricted groups, in order to get around the fact that the café area, located on the ground floor, was a success.

3rd act

The top floor was the last phase of this controversial installation, but to which no one was indifferent. This space should be understood as a light box, totally white. An immaculate space, contrasting with the visual noise of the lower floors. The light emanating from inside the windows acted as a sort of lighthouse, assuming itself as a place of reference.
