Le Chateau is a project developed for the artist Christian Rosa, located on the outskirts of Paris, in France.

The intervention proposal is structured in two acts: on the one hand, the requalification of the existing building - an imposing 19th century chateau -, with an adaptation to the intended program and respecting its identity and language. On the other hand, the design of a new building, complementary on the program level, but assuming a clear rupture with the existing one in terms of language. It is this new building, discreet in its relation to the existing one, but imposing and unpredictable inside, which hosts the program directly linked to artistic creation, composed of a large exhibition area that is complemented with studios for artistic residencies and… a disco. The entrance to this building is made through the roof, through a punctual and strategically shaped large plan that connects with a skatepark. Inside, the building reveals all its amplitude, through its scale and the large piece that invades it and leads us to go through it smoothly and gradually.
